National resources, from many funders, sources and groups, can often extend aid to Louisiana creatives and arts organizations.
Read MoreCreative Relief was established in August 2016, following the major floods that occurred in the southern region of the state. Creative Relief has continued to be a source for accepting financial donations for the nine Regional Arts Councils of Louisiana. Through Creative Relief, the Regional Arts Councils are able to identify artists and arts organizations in order to address their needs and provide assistance.
Now more than ever south Louisiana needs assistance with Hurricane Ida recovery. The Regional Arts Councils most directly impacted by the destructive winds and water of Hurricane Ida are the Bayou Regional Arts Council, Greater New Orleans, North Shore and Greater Baton Rouge. The remaining Arts Councils have become receiving communities for both evacuees and refugees. Creative Relief is a year-round relief site to help artists and arts organizations in their time of need.
